The Great Children's Choirwas founded in 1970 by the State Committee for TV and Radio Broadcasting of the Soviet Council of Ministers.The Choir created a large pool of recordings consisted of thousands of pieces varied from short songs to cantatassymphoniesand operas. Musical pieces performed by the Choir are often broadcasted on radio and TV.
波波夫儿童大合唱团由苏联国家电视广播委员会成立于1970年，创作了上千部的音乐作品，包括短曲、大合唱、交响曲和歌剧等，经常在电视和广播播放。
The best composers of Russia have been creating pieces especially for the Choir. Talented young singers take part in concerts dedicated to memorable dates of Russiaand charity events on Moscow’s biggest stages. The Choir honorably represented Russia at international festivals in more than 20 countriesand was prize winner of biggest international competitions on many occasions.

The founder and leader throughout 38 years was Victor Popovprofessorconductorand laureate of Russian State Prize. Since 2008 the Choir was named after its founder.
Today the Big Children’s Choir keeps working to make its glorious history continueto preserve and develop traditions of a unique singing school of famous Victor Popovand to keep the doors to the wonderful world of music open for new generations.
The only criterion of draft to the Choir remains musical talent of a child.
The artistic director and chief conductor of the Choir is Honored Artist of Russia.
维克多•波波夫，教授、指挥家，俄罗斯国家奖桂冠，波波夫儿童大合唱团奠基人和团长，历任38年。自2008年起，合唱团就以他的名字来命名。
今天的儿童大合唱团续写历史辉煌，继承和发扬维克多•波波夫先演唱学校的优良传统，打开大门欢迎全世界新一代的音乐天才，不变的是合唱团唯一的选秀标准是孩子的音乐天赋。合唱团的艺术总监兼首席指挥被授予俄罗斯的艺术家的殊荣。
