TheM.I.ALadies’Chorus wasformedin 2005undertheauspices ofthe MalaysianInstituteofArt’s Department ofMusic.Thechoir currentlynumbers55 studentsunderthe directionofMs. Susanna Saw.Theyhaveparticipatedinmanyperformancesandcompetitionsovertheyears,suchasin2008whenthey tookpartinthe GoldLevel TrinityChoralAssessment;thechoirachievedaHighDistinctionandreceived anOutstandingAchievementAward. In2009 theywonaGoldmedalin‘AVoyageofSong’International Choir Competitionheld inPenang.In2010,thechoirtookpartinthe8thMalaysianChoralEisteddfodandwasawardedchampioninthe ChoirsofEqualVoicescategory. Theirproudestmomenthoweverwasatthe6thWorldChoirGamesin Shaoxing,China,2010wheretheywonthegold medalandtheWorldChampionshipforMalaysiain the FemaleChamberChoir’s Category.Thechoir wasinvitedto performattheInternationalKodalySymposiuminBrisbane,Australia,July2011receivingstanding ovations in concertsatQueenslandConservatoriumofMusic,Griffith University.In2012,thechoirwontheFemaleChamberCategoryatthe2ndInternationalChoirCompetitioninHueVietnam.In2013,theywonBestFolklorePerformanceAwardatthe3rdBaguioCathedralInternational MusicFestival,Philippines,andwerehonoredtobetheinvitedGuestChoirattheSoundThinkingSummer MusicProgram,Brisbane,Australia,in2014.Thatsameyear,they madetheir debutwiththeMalaysian Philharmonic OrchestraperformingMahler’s SymphonyNo.3.TheLadiesChoircelebratedtheir 10thanniversaryin2015withafull-lengthcelebrationproduction“Gratitude”;theyalsoachieveda Gold Diploma atthe4thInternational Choir Competition inHoiAnVietnamand performedDebussy’s Trois Nocturneswith the MalaysianPhilharmonic Orchestra. In2016theystaged theirsecondfull-lengthproduction“Precious.”InJune2017the choirappearedCategory WinnerforFemale ChamberCategoryatthe 5thVietnamInternational ChoirCompetitionandlook forwardto appearing astheGuestChoiratthe HainanChoir Festival,China inNovember.
马来西亚艺术学院女子合唱团
马来西亚艺术学院女子合唱团于2005年在马来西亚艺术学院音乐系的资助下成立，由Susanna Saw女士指导，目前共有55名学生。多年来参加过许多表演和比赛，2008年参加三一合唱金段评估，成绩优异获得了杰出成就奖；2009年参加在马来西亚槟城举办的宋代航海国际合唱比赛斩获金奖。2010年参加第八届马来西亚合唱大会并获得同声组别的冠军。最令他们骄傲的是在2010年中国绍兴举办的第六届世界合唱比赛中获得了金奖，并代表马来西亚获得女子室内合唱组别的世界冠军。2011年7月，合唱团受邀到澳大利亚布里斯班国际柯达伊音乐研讨会，在格里菲斯大学昆士兰音乐学院举行的音乐会上表演，全场起立鼓掌，好评如潮。2012年，合唱团在越南顺化举办的第二节国际合唱比赛中获得女子室内合唱冠军。2013年在菲律宾第三届碧瑶大教堂国际音乐节中获得最佳民俗表演奖，2014年荣幸成为澳大利亚布里斯班音乐思维-夏日音乐节目的特邀嘉宾团，同年和马来西亚爱乐乐团登台亮相，表演马勒第三交响曲。2015年，女子乐团以“感恩”为主题，制作长篇庆祝活动庆祝建团十周年。同年，在越南会安市举办的第四节国际合唱团比赛中获得金奖，并与马来西亚爱乐乐团合作演奏了德彪西《三首夜曲》。2016年，他们上台表演了第二部以“珍贵”为主题的长篇庆祝活动。2017年6月，合唱团参加第五届越南国际合唱比赛获得女子室内合唱组冠军。他们期待作为特邀合唱团参加今年11月 的海南（21世纪海上丝绸之路）合唱节。

SusannaSaw isan activemusiceducatorpromotingmusicandchoraleducation inMalaysia.SheiscurrentlyalecturerandchoirdirectorattheFacultyofMusic attheMalaysianInstitute ofArt(MIA),wheresheconductsthe MIALadies Chorus,whichhaswonmany GoldMedalsfromvariousinternational competitions.
In2007,Susanna establishedtheYoungChoralAcademy inKualaLumpur,a venue for choral lovers to learn more about choral education.She was instrumentalinbringingtheKodályTraining CoursetoMalaysiatoimprovelocal standards ofclassroom music teaching.
From2007on,Susannahas beenregularlyinvitedbytheInterkulturFoundationGermany,tobeamemberoftheJuryfortheAsiaPacificand WorldChoir Games. Susannahasbeenappointeda WorkingCommitteefortheAsia-Pacific ChoralCouncil,undertheauspicesoftheInternationalFederationofChoral Music(IFCM). She is the Organizing Chairperson for the 24th International Kodály Symposium 2019in KuchingSarawakMalaysiaand through thishopestobringmoreawarenessontheKodály teachingphilosophytotheAsia Region.
苏珊娜是一名活跃在马来西亚推广音乐和合唱教育的音乐教育家，现任马来西亚艺术学院（MIA）音乐学院的讲师和合唱团总监，指挥的MIA女子合唱团在各种国际比赛中斩获金奖。
2007年，苏珊娜在吉隆坡成立了青年合唱学院，合唱爱好者可以更多的学习到合唱教育。她在将柯达伊（Kodály）音乐训练课程引入马来西亚，提高当地课堂音乐教学水平起到了重要的作用。
自2007年起，苏珊娜经常受德国国籍文化基金会之邀，担任亚太和世界合唱比赛的评委会成员，并被国际合唱音乐联合会（IFCM）任命为亚太合唱委员会工作委员会会员，同时担任马来西亚沙捞越古晋第29届柯达伊研讨会组织主席，借此希望在亚洲地区提高柯达伊音乐教育理念意识。
